What is the agenda for the event?This is a one-day event, happening on Friday May 5th, from 10:00AM to 6:00 PM. We will start off with our introductions and welcomes, then move on to meeting your assigned teammates and team bonding activities. Next will be the work period from 11:30 AM to 3 PM. After the work period, teams will present to the judges, and the scores will be calculated while overall networking and bonding activities will be led. We will then close from 5:30 to 6:00 PM with our award ceremony.How will we be competing?Teams will be assigned with members of various disciplines (marketing, MIS, HR, etc.) and be told leading up to the date. Each group will be given a case-study regarding a real company and the problems they encountered. During the work period, you and your team will need to devise a holistic strategy and presentation regarding the solutions that your team comes up with. This will be presented to our panel of industry professionals and SJSU professors, who will be judging groups based on specific criteria. Scores will be calculated according to a rubric that will be made readily available to all competing groups.What is the dress code?Business casual or business formal.Will food be provided?Water, snacks, and energy drinks will be provided for all participants. During the work period, lunch can be purchased in the food court, located on the first floor of the Student Union, right under where the event is taking place.What are the prizes?All winners will receive a unique certificate and a cash prize. On top of winning the competition, winners will have the ability to claim that they are one of SJSU's top consultants!
